Community spirit, generous giving and competitive quizzers were in abundance at the Parents Association’s inaugural Family Table quiz in the Trident Hotel on Saturday night.
Over €2,000 (with donations continuing to come in) was raised by the family and friends of Dunderrow NS. This will now cover the cost of our current Gymnastics Programme as well other financial commitments by the Parents Association, like the cost of buses for the school tour.
The winning team, Valeview, had a super score of 80 points with past pupils Michael and Liam O’Driscoll on form, alongside mum Marie and Aunt Karen. In second place was 3 and ½ pints of Murphys on 77 points, followed closely by Cork 4 Liam on 74 points.
With over 22 teams competing there was an incredible atmosphere on the night. This was magnified with some very happy raffle prize winners taking home some fantastic prizes.
A huge thanks to all of the local businesses (full list below) for donating such generous prizes and to Ms Hannon, Angela and the teaching staff for their support in helping us advertise the event.
