6th class are enjoying a morning at Garrylucas Beach as part of the Marine Schools program in collaboration with Cork County Council. Marine Schools takes advantage of Cork’s Blue Flag beach amenities and offers a memorable hands-on learning experience for children as part of their school day. Led by Cork Nature Network ecologists, children learn about tidal ecosystems, how to identify flora and fauna living on their local beach, and how to use the beach in ways that preserve the habitat for the amazing web of life that lives there.
